Hyper: The application “Hyper” can’t be opened.

Also ran into this when downloading the .zip from the main website. I downloaded the .dmg above, and it worked just fine. Not sure what all went wrong there, exactly.

Also, can confirm. Downloading the .zip file from the website did not work. The DMG referenced worked fine.

This is still happening as of Dec 7th and should be a top priority for the dev team to fix. Official .zip download from the site didn't work for me either.

Either the download link should point to dmg file or the steps in the above blog need to be setup.

Same with me. I use iTerm2 on mac and wanted to give Hyper a try. Got to say, not a good first impression!

Recommendation. Just get rid of the zip and point the webpage ot the .dmg
