Hyper: Powerline Glyphs not rendering properly

Issue

I've installed all of the Powerline Fonts and confirmed they exist in my Fonts as seen here:
image

I've also set the fontfamily property in the hyper.js file as well as set the webGLRenderer to false as some said that fixed their issue:

// choose either `'stable'` for receiving highly polished,
// or `'canary'` for less polished but more frequent updates
    updateChannel: "stable",
    webGLRenderer: false,

// default font size in pixels for all tabs
    fontSize: 12,

// font family with optional fallbacks
    fontFamily: '"Hack"',

// default font weight: 'normal' or 'bold'
    fontWeight: "normal",

// font weight for bold characters: 'normal' or 'bold'
    fontWeightBold: "normal",

The odd thing is that some of the icons are working, but the others aren't, as seen here:

Running get_icon_names gives me this:

I tried setting the icon manually in my ~/.zshrc file like so:

# If you come from bash you might have to change your $PATH.
# export PATH=$HOME/bin:/usr/local/bin:$PATH

# Path to your oh-my-zsh installation.
export ZSH="/home/shhhpiderman/.oh-my-zsh"

# Set list of themes to pick from when loading at random
# Setting this variable when ZSH_THEME=random will cause zsh to load
# a theme from this variable instead of looking in ~/.oh-my-zsh/themes/
# If set to an empty array, this variable will have no effect.

Not sure where to go from here...would love to get the glyphs working on Hyper.js though!

If the family names of the fonts you've tried are indeed "Hack" and "Fira Code for Powerline", it makes sense that your terminal cannot display U+F113. These fonts don't have this glyph.

Try these font installation instructions: https://github.com/romkatv/powerlevel10k/#recommended-meslo-nerd-font-patched-for-powerlevel10k.

fontFamily: '"Hack"',

Is this the correct family name? Run Fonts from the windows menu and search for Hack there. What does it show as the family name?

P.S.

You might find powerlevel10k useful.

@romkatv Hey Roman, yes, on the issue I posted, I have a screenshot of my installed fonts on Windows showing Hack is installed. I've also tried out a few other fonts like fontFamily: 'Fira Code for Powerline' amongst others.

Still no luck. I'll try switching to Powerlevel10k tonight and seeing if I can any results.

@romkatv That worked! Thank you so much, that was driving me nuts.

I didn't realize that this list of patched fonts from nerd fonts didn't have glyphs...or maybe some do, and some don't?

How can I figure out which fonts have glyphs available for them? For instance, Hack might not work, but Hack Nerd Font has the glyphs?

This table lists patched fonts in the first column and their unpatched source fonts in the second column.

The source fonts are produced by many different people and companies. For example, Meslo (my favorite font) is created by Apple, while Hack is created by Source Foundry. Nerd Fonts project takes all these different fonts and adds extra symbols to them. The results are called "patched" fonts. Since they aren't identical to the source fonts, they have different family names.

How can I figure out which fonts have glyphs available for them? For instance, Hack might not work, but Hack Nerd Font has the glyphs?

"Hack" is the original unpatched font by Source Foundry. "Hack Nerd Font" is "Hack" with extra glyphs added by Nerd Fonts.

@romkatv Thank you for that insight and explanation! I'm going to go ahead and check out Powerlevel10k now...thanks for all your work on that btw! Marking this as resolved.
