[x] I have searched the issues of this repo and believe that this is not a duplicate
OS version and name: macOS High Sierra 10.13.1
I have noticed that the cursor is not 100% aligned with the text.

I'm not sure what the issue is. The cursor isn't aligned with the d, but that's because there's an ascender and no descender for that glyph. It's more closely aligned with the arrow, though not perfectly aligned, however, that might just be because the glyph isn't perfectly aligned.

Can you try this with the latest 2.x canary (https://github.com/zeit/hyper/releases)? It uses xterm.js instead of hterm, so the entire rendering pipeline is different.
Can you try pasting a unicode block character (โ) into your terminal? That should be the same height as the cursor.
Ok cool! I ll try the canary and see if it's different there. Thanks for getting back on this one.
Ok, so the canary version and the new rendering pipeline works perfectly! I really love it, because it's now exactly the same experience as in the Terminal App on Mac. The only thing that I dislike is that the scrollbar flashes up for a second when I start Hyper. It would be nice to have an option for disabling the scrollbars completely.
You guys are doing a great job! I really enjoy Hyper so far, especially now with the new rendering ๐
I have created another issue for the scrollbar as it flashes up when the backgroundColor is set to a certain color.
Related issue #2778.
I'm closing this off as it's fixed in 2.0 ๐ฅ Thanks for confirming ๐
