Hyper: High CPU usage on windows

I just installed hyper term 1.3.2 on a windows 7 VM, and CPU usage is insane. It spikes when I focus out and in.

No customization, nothing, just default install.

Do you have any error in your developper console?
Does it spike when you focus another pane/tab? Or only when you unfocus/focus the entire app?

since no response for some time i would tag this performance and remove the other tag.
should hopefully get better over time as we do performance improvements

For me this is still relevant, Hyper CPU usage goes up until 30-40 % with some opened tabs on idle.
Hyper 2.0.0-canary.14 - No plugins installed - Windows 10 1709 (WSL Debian)

After a while conhost.exe CPU usage keeps rising, but still I am not able to track down why.
I don't have this issue while using the default Command Prompt (cmd)

I'm getting even up to 90-100% CPU usage when I open Hyper. It seems like it might go up more with tabs, but my whole computer will freeze often until I kill Hyper in Task Manager.

Also, it seems like my computer freezes when I try to drag and move Hyper. Maybe the computer isn't actually freezing, but it's some weird thing where Hyper still has drag focus

And it seems that when I type in hyper, the typing is very delayed. I'm using vim, and when I hit escape it will take 4-5 times to register. This doesn't happen for me in PuTTY.
