Since upgrading to 1.3.0, shell prompt (I'm using fish shell) with powerline fonts doesn't render correctly, it works fine on 1.2.1
1.2.1 (correct)

1.3.0 (wrong)

Same OS and version as @boobiq, but with Fira Code:

I had this problem as well after upgrading to 1.3.0.
Adding a line height resolved it for me.
termCSS: 'x-row > span { line-height: 1.2em; }',
Likewise on Windows 10 build 1607 with Fira. And the line-height css via @nwykes resolved it for me as well.

I'm seeing this also (but I'm using ZSH). I'm on 1.3.1. I disabled all plugins.

// default font size in pixels for all tabs
fontSize: 12,
// font family with optional fallbacks
fontFamily: '"Meslo LG S for Powerline", Menlo, "DejaVu Sans Mono", Consolas, "Lucida Console", monospace',
yeah, it still persists even in 1.3.1 for me as well
Same here, my issue transformed itself :)
I changed my line height to 1.25em to clean it up.
