Issue

I don't know if it's a by design behavior, but it's impossible to scroll terminal by dragging a scrollbar with mouse. At the same time, it's possible to scroll using mouse wheel, but it's only useful unless you have relatively short logs.

Same on Win10.

Same on Mac

Can confirm this issue.

OS: Windows 10
Hyper: 1.0.1

+1
OS: Mac Sierra
Hyper 1.1.0 1408

Same for me.
Windows 10
Hyper 1.2.1

Mintty uses shift+scroll to scroll much faster which is really great and Mintty also has no scrollbar.

Maybe related: #1540

I meant to comment a while ago and forgot. This isn't a bug, as it turns out the scroll bar was never meant to function, it was purely there for aesthetics.

But I heard it will be added in the future to actual function. (don't hold me to that, but it's what I saw way back when I brought this up in the slack channel)

Yeah, this is painful

any updates on this issue?

Anyone that tested this on the canary branch (https://zeit.co/blog/canary)? I think this might be fixed. 2.0.0 will be released 馃敎 (My windows machine is currently broken so can't verify it myself ATM)

@albinekb you got it. I just switched to canary and scroll is working there. Thanks!

@joeSaad thank you for your feedback

Seems this should already be fixed, but my scrollbar is still unavailable. I have been using mouse wheel for scrolling, which is annoying sometimes.

OS version: Windows 10 Pro Build 17134.1
Hyper version: 2.0.0-stable
Hyper config: address

I am using Windows 10 Pro 18.09 and Hyper 2.1.0-canary.2 and the scrollbar is completely hidden for me too. This is with the default theme and the hyper-one-light theme too, so I'm thinking this probably isn't a theme related issue.

It's also worth pointing out the scrollbar is hidden with showWindowControls: false and showWindowControls: true, but the Windows control buttons do show up when this is set to true.

I'm also using WSL / Bash on Windows which at least hints to the lack of scrollbar not being a PowerShell specific issue because @Elderry's screenshot shows PowerShell.

Should be fixed in newer versions
