Not too sure what could cause this just yet. My basic assumption is the hydrogen doesn't have the admin permissions to initialize dlls on your machine, but I have never actually had anyone run into this issue.

@jbinagia That looks like a problem with the installation of zeromq (I don't think zeromq distributes binaries for ia32). How did you install hydrogen?

@n-riesco I was running into the same issue on the latest version and thought I would try rolling back to a previous version since I only recently encountered this issue. So I uninstalled and installed manually, i.e. apm install [email protected].

The error I receive on the latest version is similar:

The error with [email protected] looks like #1870

I'd try to find out where Hydrogen and zeromq are installed and removed them, before reinstalling apm install [email protected]. As far as I know, zeromq doesn't distribute 32bit binaries, so for this to succeed you need to have some build tools (see https://github.com/nodejs/node-gyp#on-windows ).

Any error messages when running apm install [email protected]?

I am getting same issue on MacOS while installing Hydrogen on Atom.

So i was actually getting two different errors based on some unknown criteria. Uninstalling Hydrogen from atom and then installing v2.8.0 via apm fixed both of them. Is 2.8 the last stable release?
