Gt-new-horizons-modpack: Infinite potentia exploit

A single piece of redstone dust has 2 potentia and 1 machina aspect to it. A Thaumic base alchemical duplication recipe is (in a crucible) : 1 redstone dust + 1 potentia + 1 machina = 2 redstone dusts. This means one can set up an infinite potentia generating system using a simple setup with a Thaumatorium, and it would generate infinite potentia as long as it is provided with fuel to run an alchemical furnace to burn down the redstone dust into essentia.

In that regard, the recipe should be modified to consume 2 potentia and 1 machina, so it becomes the fair trade it was meant to be.

Not sure if this is an issue.

  1. We can literally grow glowstone dust in our gardens - we just need some steam age extractors and a single trip to nether. And then turn that into gold and redstone if I am not mistaken. It can be costly in terms of EU though.
  2. You can setup a tree farm for pretty much infinite amount of wood -> infinite amount of charcoal -> infinite amount of potentia.
  3. You can grow a crop that drops redstone when harvested. Infinite amount of redstone for a couple of hours of time investment.

Chaging the recipe to cost 2 potentia and 1 machina would fix it.

Yeah but this is very fast and easy to set up. Any of those farm would probably require some Steve's Carts stuff, which is very expensive, to be automated, while the potentia duplication here barely needs basic TC stuff and MV components to generate a lot of free EU. Powering your base with a wood/crop farm is perfectly fine because there is a need for quite some infrastructure, automation etc. Here you only need a few pipes and 2 alchemical constructs plus a few MV components to set up an infinite 90EU/t generator, and I think one of these Thaumatorium/Alchemical furnace systems can easily run at least 3 Potentia generators. That's above 2 full amps of MV power.

At a stage when these mechanisms are available, this energy production is already insignificant.
