Background: Based on what I've inferred from various forums/discord chats, sharing of multiblock casings was never intended and was a side effect of the implementation. This feature/[bug] was removed in GT6.
For various machines it makes varying degrees of sense.
Suggestion: Remove for the following
Turbines: Doesn't make much sense, and messes up the texture. Imagine stuffing a few of these in overlapping casings:

Suggestion: Leave it alone for the following
EBF: Makes a little bit of sense, especially on the heating coils for the same tier - they're all getting hot!
LCR: Not sure why you'd do this, it'd remove valuable space for input/output!
Pyrolyese: ¯_(ツ)_/¯ It's already pretty big, plenty of internal storage, you can't share the heating coils.
Distillation Tower: ¯_(ツ)_/¯ - Already pretty big, plenty of internal storage, very expensive. Looks a little weird
Others: No others jump out, in my mind, as nonsensical.
Thoughts/comments?
I would be okay with removing it for turbines but some people would need serious rebuilding, also a tooltip for the turbines that says "can't share blocks with other multiblocks" would be needed.
It should stay for everything else imo.
