Graphql-playground: Subscription UX is difficult to work with

Created on 10 Nov 2019  路  6Comments  路  Source: graphql/graphql-playground

Cliffnotes:

1. New data is at the bottom of the list

  1. Should this even be a list? I don't think so personally.
  2. Can't scroll down because each data entry overflows.
  3. Can't clear without refreshing.

Recommended fixes in order of impact/time ratio

  1. Place new data at the top of the list, not the bottom.
  2. Don't let the responses overflow and thus create individual scrolling sections.
  3. Allow the results list to scroll

I just pinged Peggy @ apollo to see if she knew anyone we could contact to get some visibility on this https://twitter.com/luke_pighetti/status/1203353017724153856

Bump

Can someone point me to where subscriptions are handled, might create a PR

PR's are completely blocked by maintainers with write access who are not contributing their time anymore. I don't mind if maintainers have to move on, but they need to pass the torch if they do.

I'm a little concerned that people don't want to lose their name on the masthead because it looks good to be a maintainer of a Prisma project and would rather let the projects bitrot than give someone else the credit to maintain the project. I hope I'm wrong, though.

@lukepighetti Great idea with the Twitter pings. Keep it up. This project is amazing, it just needs a few bug fixes.
