Gapless playback not working in YouTube Music.

I wonder why gapless playback is not working in YouTube Music. When I open YTM in Chrome browser, gapless playback is working, in the player it is not.

I thought the player is emulating a browser, so if gapless playback is working in Chrome browser it should also work in the player. And I heard gapless playback is implemented server side in YTM.

In the Google Play Music part of the player gapless playback is working.

Steps to Reproduce:
Run "The Dark Side of the Moon" album from Pink Floyd and check a gap between the end of the first song and the start of the second.

In the YouTube Music (beta) when listening to albums that have songs that extend between multiple tracks there is a noticable gap between songs. In the YouTube Music web app this gap does not happen.

OS: Linux Mint 20

To Reproduce:

• Listen to the transition between the two tracks in this playlist.
• The transition should be seamless, but there is a noticeable pause between the tracks.

Still present as of today (13 Jan 2021).

At the risk of sounding cliché, the transition from "Chromatica II" to "911" on Lady Gaga's _Chromatica_ has a hard gap on GPMDP but not when listening in a browser window.

Windows (EDIT: Win 10) build 1909. Tested on app version 4.7.1, and Firefox 84.0.2.
