Is it possible to add a feature so that one can find
"carry" with "carried"
"album" with "albums"
「止める」 with 「止められた」(Japanese)
especially when there would be 0 result otherwise?
GD support word forms via morphology dictionaries. Just turn on needed morphology in dictionaries source dialog (Sources/Morphology tab) and add appropriate dictionary from dictionaries list in target group. If morphology for some language isn't presented in list you can try to find Hunspell dictionary for this language (.aff+.dic) and place it to content/morphology directory in GD directory.
Thank you!
I'm sorry that I overlooked that feature, which is really cool.
Now for me the only problem left is that it seems that there is no Hunspell dictionary for Japanese:
Part of the reason seems to be:
"Japanese (and for that matter Chinese and Korean as well) can not properly be checked at all by a spell checker which just gets to see word by word. For those language the whole sentence needs to be analyzed. Thus something like a grammar checker should be appropriate."

However, other morphology analyzers for Japanese do exist, e.g. Mecab, Kuromoji.
Is it possbile to use them for GoldenDict?
I managed to track down a jap.dic file, but it doesn't have an .aff. Has anyone figured out how to get Japanese morphemes working? https://stackoverflow.com/questions/19654554/japanese-dictionary-for-postgresql
I have been looking for such aff spellchecker file for Japanese too recently, but same found no result. I don't know how you guys are going in terms of finding such aff file or equivalent solution?
I have tried to create one by myself but it seems quite difficult. (I classified word lists already, but failed to create a working .aff&.dic.)
However, even though I have read through many articles and they claim that languages that are difficult to tokenise can hardly be supported by Hunspell _https://www.proz.com/forum/sdl_trados_support/203671-i_cant_use_spellchecker_in_japanese_on_sdl_trados_studio_2009.html_ , still I found the support for Korean had long ago been provided. _https://extensions.openoffice.org/en/project/korean-dictionaries-apache-openoffice_ . (So I truly think it is possible to have one for Japanese, let alone it is just claimed for dictionary use.)
