I think conventional commits or close to it are important. I think the emojies can help guide that. It would be good to have section on the site to designate (for fun vs serious)

I think going this far with emoji is too much. If you hope nothing broke I would expect that you ha a change, feature bug fix, docs. Just saying you hope nothing breaks is bad communication.

I disagree, we're talking about using emoji in git commits. The point is having fun with it, not taking it too seriously.

I've had a use for something similar to this, "hope this works." And the reason is I'm developing Selenium UI tests which hit stale element exceptions. We can't identify why the elements would go stale but a change to retry should fix the issue... since it is inconsistent it is hard to prove the fix works.

Unfortunatelly I don't believe this adds to much information to the commit. People could use just this emoji. I mean who does not hope for the best? 馃樃

For that reason, I don't think its a good direction to add the emoji.

@bgreenwell You should have fun, but also make sense. If you just want to make fun, you will use random emojis no matter if its included in gitmoji. We are not here for fun, we just have it on the way: writing code that other people are having fun reading or consuming 馃樆
