Githawk: Opening from push sometimes fails

Created on 14 Oct 2018  路  10Comments  路  Source: GitHawkApp/GitHawk

Tapped a push and nothing happened. Then when I selected something in the inbox it just highlighted the cell but didn鈥檛 push a view.

Not sure if pushing a VC needs to be deferred for some time or something?

Struggling to repro this...

Not happening to me. Which push note was it from? TestFlight or your personal build?

TestFlight

I had a TestFlight issue where I opened a push notification, took me to notifications view controller, and was getting the same behavior: the cell highlighted but no view was pushed. This was actually the case in all four view controllers in the app: the tap actions would highlight a cell (or in the case of recent searches, would re-order the rows), but no view was pushed. Even in the Settings View Controller. The only thing that worked was the API Status, which successfully pushed a web view.

So that is REALLY bizarre. Sounds like the same issue. I wonder if something is happening with the split VC?

Only iPad then? Seems a logical please to look at next.

iPhone for me. We still use a split VC as the root controller.

will try to figure out how to repro

+1 for this.. any of the recent issue notifications from this repo triggered it .. I'm not sure what other info would be helpful?

I wonder if maybe it鈥檚 from me changing the route paths? So like maybe the routing lib broke? I can try to repro that locally by breaking stuff on purpose.
