Githawk: Custom pull to refresh

Created on 24 Feb 2018  ·  3Comments  ·  Source: GitHawkApp/GitHawk

UIRefreshControl is the bane of my existence. So many weird little bugs. I've built these from scratch before and had an idea of a cool one for GitHawk.

  • Recreate an icon similar to this but flipped vertically
  • Start pulling and see a single ring
  • As you pull, two other rings emerge following the fork path
  • When refresh triggered, fire haptic feedback

    • Also start a pulse animation between the 3 rings, clockwise and one at a time

  • On finish, collapse all rings into one

Something like this. I'll try to mock something up.

Funny, last night I was thinking about turning it into a hawk flying around a circle 😂 Let me know what you mock up!

0.2 @rnystrom good call on the animation, i'm a big fan.
Still working on the correct starting point for the appearing circle and figuring what imma do with the bird (Maybe fade that in once the branch has fully appeared.)
