And again, after spending 6h on the bug tracker and getting grumpier and grumpier by reading so many tickets where I tried my best to help, only to be met with silence or with unwillingness to put in a bit of effort themselves, I stumble over this ticket.

@seangwright you have no idea how thankful I am for your ticket right now. If you like beer, and if I ever run into you, I owe you at least one. If you don't like beer, I owe you something else that you do like.

@dscho I'm very happy to hear that my little thank you brightens your day even just a tiny amount.

I meant it very honestly and still mean it - I use git for windows EVERY DAY and my job/responsibilities/workload would all be worse off if it weren't for the time and effort you put into making this tool available FOR FREE! to all of us.

And yes, it just so happens I do like beer (I'm a co-founder of this site https://www.craftbrewingbusiness.com/) so I hope our paths will cross at some point in the future so I can buy YOU one.
