I'll look into releasing a plugin on the weekend.
Unfortunately this would change the artifactGroup since I don't have access to publish artifacts to maven central...

Nope; I would pull in the changes from https://github.com/ktoso/maven-git-commit-id-plugin/pull/311 and look into either contacting him again or releasing the plugin on maven central

2.2.3 is now released - sorry for being grump in the post above, amount of stuff I noticed in mailbox after a week offline overwhelmed me a bit ;-)

I also propose to fix the root issue here, I'm ok with adding @TheSnoozer to sonatype's OSS staging repo for pl.project13 so you could release this plugin at will. Please register on this issue tracker https://issues.sonatype.org/browse/OSSRH-1324 and give me your sonatype username and I'll ask for things to be set up.

Alternatively, we could move the plugin to a different organisation... If we'd handle that well I would not mind doing that as well I guess. I wonder how to do that though, best if we found a domain for the plugin so we could then claim it on sonatype hm...

I actually tried to email you - not sure if it got lost somewhere in the spam filter or if I used an incorrect email.....regardless vacation has priority one and I wasn't aware of it so welcome home ;-)
