As the title says, the game shows a never ending black screen with no audio or graphics whatsoever.

With the same build, me and others on discord are reaching in-game without crash or bugs (glitch is only on the graphics side) with HLE.

If you press F11 I believe there's at least something rendering, might be an error message.

tested with build 8cf6883e
Game shows a "dirty disk" error

With HLE it still shows the dirty disc error of above, but with LLE it actually renders something (title screen?), but it doesn't seem to respond to input. FPS still keeps changing though, so it's not frozen

I could have dumped it badly, I'll try to redump it when I have time

@ergo720 DOA titles have an issue where they crash/error if the cache files don't finish copying by the time that the splash screen completes. This is what stops them working for me. It might need a game-patch to make it wait for the copy to complete, so for now, it seems to be HDD speed dependent.

Status update: This thread's label could be updated too to ingame. This game now comfortably gets in-game according to several recent videos.

The game shows an animated copyright warning text roll (Strange occurrence as you don't tend to see this in other games this early). And then you see the animated title menu screen. There are some pink and acidic flecks in the background of some menu buttons and one non-emulated small rectangle near the top-left corner. There are more unswizzled textures/slides with similar colours or just one solid colour at other times (That could have been showing character portraits).

After it loads into gameplay there are the odd white (or unswizzled?) noise grains covering much of the screen in split seconds. The in-game environments are very good. There's a long & erroneous shadow cast that hangs from the ball all the way to the ground wherever it moves in the stage. Athletes' models have few incomplete shadow errors on and above the ground. The concise GUI seem to work well.

These following videos below from Esppiral unfortunately don't show the build being used to run this game. However, what's interesting about the intro video is that the ground and skybox in one beach-side stage seem to be black and the whole level looks both dark and have incomplete renders as a result.
In the game videos, the GUI and that aforementioned unswizzled noise splash appear in a small rectangle area at the top-left area instead of covering the entire screen. It probably could be because of the upscaled resolution set to 1920x1080 (Similar problem as Dino Crisis 3's menus. PLEASE investigate this!).

How it should look:

Playthroughs: 480p, 720p, 1440p60.

Smooth framerate/camera motion capture:
720p: 1, 2, 3.
480p.

Character scenes (For reference in case the emulation of these scenes is erroneous).
