I created a planet in a space station dimension using the Star Miner mod and found that the gravity seems to conflict with the mod a bit. There's no crashes or anything but I found that the star miner mod gravity only works on the sides and bottom of the planet, and when you try to go to the top of the planet it switches back to Galacticraft gravity.
I don't actually expect a fix for this since the mod is for 1.6.4 and is also from Japan so having a discussion with the mod dev might be difficult, and the mod also has it's own low earth orbit space dimension, however if there is a way to fix it PLEASE do so because, as far as making awesome GC space stations goes, this is it. This is THE mod to have... if the gravity didn't conflict.
I noticed this got labeled a conflict. Could this perhaps be added to the list here? http://forum.micdoodle8.com/index.php?threads/known-incompatibilities-and-cross-mod-issues-1-6-4.4313/
Thanks!
Not yet ... I need to look into it some more first, I am aware of StarMiner and I think it's a great mod though there are some obvious overlaps with what Galacticraft aims to do. I may be able to fix this at some point, not sure yet.
I love you.
@JakXLT, we all love him. <3
Make a 1.7.2 space station, add some Spin Thrusters, then tell me that.
I can't understand why nobody is doing that yet, IMHO it's one of the best features in GC3.
I also <3 the new Mars sky and the T3 rocket, so beautiful.
I haven't done that yet because I only downloaded the 1.7.2 version for testing purposes. A lot of the mods I like are still on 1.6.4 and then a couple of the mods I like decided to skip it and go straight to 1.7.10.
Lol I only wonder 1 thing about spin Thrusters: Is it possible to make them MOVE a space station along? Like not spinning, but actually moving along in its orbit?
Um... Star miner is actually a mod on its own... It's not GC at all. (I've seen a showcase, so i know lol)
I know. This issue raises an incompatibility problem between the two mods.
Is this still relevant/an issue?
I suggest closing this issue for being too old or inactive. BTW, 1.6 modding is 99% dead, in my opinion.
+1 @EzerArch The mod doesn't update for a long time.
+1
This should be closed, it's been almost 4 years XD @radfast
hmm I guess we can, as we're never going to be able to fix this... :)
This deserves... fireworks. :fireworks:
