Created on 7 Feb 2018  路  10Comments  路  Source: Freeyourgadget/Gadgetbridge

Dear developers!

I have a mi band and want to use it with sleep as android.

some people wanted gadgetbridge support here: https://urbandroid.uservoice.com/forums/264867-sleep-as-android/suggestions/32116768-integrate-with-gadgetbridge

they say you can do it: https://sleep.urbandroid.org/documentation/developer-api/wearable-integration-api/

please can you?
thank you.

This requires the device to support live raw sensor data, which is afaik not implemented for most devices in gadgetbridge at the moment. Also, judging the responses of the core developers, they will likely be reluctant to integrate with a proprietary application.

Anyway, these last few issues have really shown that it would be a good move to add some kind of external API other applications can use. I'm not very familiar with Android, so I'm not sure how the best way of doing that would be.

I'd reference this issue about an API and data collection https://github.com/Freeyourgadget/Gadgetbridge/issues/963.

I would like to express that for me too this would be an awesome feature (even if realized via addon/seperate app to "bridge" the data, as long as it's open). I have a Mi Band 2 and the available SAA addons lack the quality that I've found in Gadgetbridge...

Are there any plans supporting "Sleep as Android" wearable and heart rate API?

I'm interested in this as well, if it's possible. The API seems straightforward enough, all that is necessary is to feed the sensor data into the Sleep As Android intents.

If Sleep as Android was supported I would purchase a fitness band in no time!!

I performed a bit of cleanup of this issue. Please use the comments to help the development, not for asking for ETAs or express your agreement (you can plus-one the first message instead).

I someone is willing to work on the integration and need support for the gadgetbridge-side of the problem, she can freely ask here and/or open a PR and will surely get help from the core team.

Is it possible to limit certain functionalities to certain devices?

i'd be interested in implementing this. any pointers on where to start?
