Describe the bug
After the 5.3.0/5.3.1 update, spell check is permanently disabled. When you click the toggle to turn spell check back on, the Franz Todos gets toggled on/off instead.
To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
Expected behavior
Clicking on the toggle switch for spell checking should actually toggle spell checking, and not toggle Franz Todos.
Desktop (please complete the following information):
The "Enable GPU Acceleration" toggle does work, but _also_ toggles Todos.
At least for me in Windows 10, toggling literally anything also toggles the state of Todos. Fortunately, toggling todos doesn't toggle anything else so it's possible to set the state appropriately, but it basically requires one extra toggle of "todos" if you are doing an odd number of toggles.
I can confirm the same issue here. Windows 10 same Franz version as OP
This also happens to me on a Mac in version 5.3.1.1528:

Nothing mentioned in the changelog but the pricing page shows spell check as part of a subscription tier. Feels like a bait and switch.
Okay is the Spellchecker is actually a paid function now and this isn't just some bug like it was before then I'm installing Hamsket and jumping boat this weekend.
Wow. Spell checker in a paid plan...? What a dick move. This app is getting worse with every update, I'll be un-installing this, it's convenient at best, but not worth a monthly subscription. smh 馃憥
The Ferdi fork still has spellcheck.
I'm not gonna say that I love you @rogergbh for bringing this fork to my attention, but you are my most favorite person online at this moment! :D
Gonna try this for right after work. Hope it'll work properly especially that it also supports an alternative server for our account. Could be a self hosted one on out local Machine?
Would be nice to get clarity on whether or not it is indeed meant to be an exclusively paid feature. That pricing breakdown also states that you can't have more than 3 services without paying but I still have 6. 馃I'd _prefer_ to stick with Franz...
Yeah that's probably a "joined before it got updated" situation @ste7enm Hopefully users who joined before this are allowed to keep their "as many as you'd like" status and not just "remove any of your apps and you won't able to add new ones past three".
I was literally talking about how useful Franz is to some of my old friends and that they should give it a try and I was literally baffled when they said "It looks cool, but that 3 apps for free limit is a shame." I had NO idea what they were talking about.
Hope Ferdi'll work out for me as long as Franz returns to a more manageable state of monetization since I'd love to support the project, but a line has been crossed for me I'm afraid. :(
Well, today's update fixed the toggle issue for me, but Spell Check is still not able to be toggled on. Too bad.
Wow, amazing; take away features.
Spell Check is a feature built in to Chromium. It seems almost unethical that the franz folks would deliberately disable this feature so that they can start charging for it.
I have completely stopped using franz, and I will ensure to spread the word to others to stop using it as well.
Yeah, this is the last straw for me too. Bye Franz.
