I can't log in. When I start Franz, it says unable to load

Even if I'm able to use chrome and other browsers, Franz doesn't connect.

I had the same issue. Started maybe half an hour ago? I forget exactly what happened, but somewhere connection was lost, so I first rebooted, checked again, and deleted the app and supporting files and reinstalled. I get tossed back to the login / setup screen and it won't let me login.
Server is a bit overloaded atm. @adlk any way we can provide a bit of support there?

same here, "Can't connect to franz online services"
Error is also happening here with me.
Same here :c
Same issue, it does mean that my datas are online !!! What about RGPD compilant ?
bye bye Franz ...
+1
Same issue
We're all going to have this issue if the backend is down, there's no need to report that we have the issue. I suggest we keep this thread quiet so we can all subscribe and when we see notifications we know it's something worth reading (i.e. it's fixed).
Same issue here...
Franz should cache the cloud data locally (just the list of accounts). It's got all the cookies/localStorage/etc already...

We know there are issues - everyone has this - please refrain from posting this. We are subscribed to this issue because we would like to be notified once it is resolved.
The creator is from Austria, and the day is just starting here on the EU continent. We'll probably need to give it some more time...
Looked around a bit, found that there are two ip's that resolve to api.franzinfra.com. They both however give the aforementioned 503. No use in forcing one or the other ip on Franz.
And it just started working again for me... Let's hope it stays up :)
FYI: franz is working again!
Would still love to hear from the developers why their server is needed for Franz to run. This issue seems really similar to #627. This question has been asked before in #1077, but was never answered. Any comment?
@MagicLegend same here. If there's a way we can support in any way (pretty sure there are a couple savy devs around here), we are happy to extend a hand, but I was pretty discouraged that I had to download the apps I removed just for Franz. What data exactly does Franz requires centralised that relies on a server to function?
@jjperezaguinaga
Look at my thread in #1077 It's basically a "sync" function so you "can"(more like must) just log in to an account from anywhere and get all your clients up and running instantly, but as I mentioned there that would be better as a premium service.
Also this little bug has actually proven that there MUST be an alternative backup or some people might even loose access to important clients if they don't happen to have some login data at hand at all times.
@Gaboris Would love to hear @adlk 's input, because I agree that there should be an alternative backup, either locally or online.
In my opinion, it would be best to have a local backup of whatever data is loaded to and from the sync server. Then when the sync server is temporarily offline or can't be reached for some reason, the local backup can be used.
We had some issues with our database servers. Even though the server issues are resolved, having a local cache is definitely a good idea.
