Franz: Status page for Franz

Created on 13 Feb 2018  路  17Comments  路  Source: meetfranz/franz

Feature Description

If Franz is having connection problems, there's no easy way to check whether it's a local issue or something with the server (unless you open a new Github issue, like in #680). My suggestion would be using something similar to https://status.twilio.com where users can quickly check whether the issue is on their end or not.

Motivation and Context

It's not currently possible to know whether the issue is a local issue or something with the Franz server

Looks like the need for a status page just came back, looking at the ticket #1689 and #1690

@colinodell thanks for the great suggestion! definitely something for our upcoming "conquering the world" dashboard! :)

Looking for a franz status page too, i've been having trouble logging in and there seem to be little resources available for end users.

@yucolabjames it's down for me too, I suppose it's the server.

"Can't connect to Franz online services".

Same over here for me

It seems to me, that the service is up again. But it would be good to have a status page to see if the server is up and running.

It's 2019. Franz services are not working and there is no status page... :disappointed:

I think Franz is down now too. Could not load services and user information

Did this go anywhere?

Is down again....

down again now?

this begs the question, why does Franz need to store this data in the cloud? A simple local config file would remove this issue no?

It's probably needed for premium services, nothing a free user will benefit from IMHO.
