It would be great to have an "un-trash" icon for use with undelete operations. We have soft-delete scenarios where users will have the ability to bring records back from deletion. This would be the inverse of and similar to the existing "trash" icon - included for comparison against some quick mocks.

nice and useful!
+1 was looking for the same thing. Also issue #884

+1 but I like this example of undelete much better - without the green circle.

+1 for restore
We now have a couple of options for this:

Thanks for adding this. My feedback is that I don't think this icon is very clear as to its purpose. All undo type icons have a curved arrow and because this has a straight arrow, I think most people will not think it is obvious that this means undelete. Even your icon for undo is a circular swoosh of an arrow, so this icon isn't consistent with the rest of the icon set that it belongs to.
Even if you wanted to stay with the straight arrow, I think the examples given in the first post are much better because the arrow leaves the trash can and gives a clear indication that something is coming out of the trash. Having a straight arrow contained within the trash can does not invoke the notion of something being removed from the trash can for me.
Again, thank you for taking the time to add this type of icon, it is sorely needed, but I feel this icon doesn't convey the intent and is inconsistent with the related icons in the icon set.
@gregveres Thanks for the feedback! I'll bring this up with the team, and we'll certainly consider adjusting this icon, or adding an alternate version.
I agree 100% with @gregveres. Thanks for considering the suggestion and reopening the issue (and of course, for putting it back into work/in-progress as promised)
Working on the update now! Should be out in our next release.
Alrighty then! We've added an alternate version of the "trash undo" with a different arrow.
