the .svg-inline--fa.fa-pull-left class is setting width:auto which breaks SVGs under IE because it cannot check width. fa-w-18 class is already set with a width of 1.125em so I don't understand what the width:auto is needed for?
Assuming .svg-inline--fa.fa-pull-right also has width:auto set...
Hi!
Thanks for being part of the Font Awesome Community.
I can confirm on IE11.

@robmadole could you please take a look?
Hmm. Codepen isn't working for me in browserstack.com 🤷♂️ .
I'll add this to our list. If @tagliala says it's broken, it's broken
Cheers, hope I get to that point as well ;)
@robmadole oh yes, it seems that jsfiddle stopped working on IE11
Please try this: https://jsfiddle.net/tagliala/d7w55ryp/19/embedded/result
The reason, as pointed out by @alystair, is the extra width:auto, but it is there for a reason
update? width:auto looks like it could be removed. Confirmed broken under IE11 with FA 5.7.2
Has this been resolved in newer builds? Don't have access to a machine with IE11 on it at the moment.
Confirmed broken under IE11 with FA 5.8.1. It works if width: auto is removed; otherwise, it takes the whole line.
