Love this font/icon set. Would love to see diagonal direction arrows. You currently have NSEW...would love NE, SE, NW, SW to complete the set.
meanwhile...
Nice...but not cross-browser compatible. Right?
You should be right, it's not cross-ancient-browsers. So i said "meanwhile"
This one is tested and working on:
Chrome 26, Firefox 20, IE10, Opera Mobile 12 (emulator), Opera 12
I'm pretty confident it doesn't work on IE8 but... I'm not 100% sure since jsfiddle is not working on IE8
edit: there are css filters to rotate elements in IE6/7/8 too but I can't test them, sorry
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/4617220/css-rotate-property-in-ie
Now works in IE9...but it looks horrible. I will test in IE7-8 and post back.

Please please please add these to FA!
wow, it's... it's... awesomely ugly!
IE9 doesn't support a better rotation?
Unfortunately I don't have IE9 at all
Anyway the rotation trick I posted is a workaround that can be useful on modern browsers...

Hi Tagliala,
I noticed it doesn't work with the new version of font-awesome.css 4.0.3
Am I doing something wrong? I just modified your fiddle.
http://jsfiddle.net/sebababi/n8DcS/11/
Thanks
Sebastian
@sebababi
Two main issues: the new fa fa- syntax, an display: block for rotated elements. Here it is: http://jsfiddle.net/n8DcS/12/
Great, that worked perfectly !!! thanks a lot
I needed some weather icons (wind direction included) and I found this awesome weather icons font.
Maybe it can help (I have no relation with the author) !

Still nothing here?

+1 - but the fiddle is awesome.
+1 also possible to add aliases for all wind directions? N, NNE, NE, ENE, E etc etc? (as in fa-arrow-ene)
+1 Also would love to have NW, NE, SW and SE arrows

I too, this seems really basic and OLD to not be implemented. (please??)
I'd prefer it for all styles of arrows,
plain, Circle-o, circle-inverted, and long arrows... I want to use them as legends on a map.

why is this still not in
really don't understand why diagonal arrows aren't in fa? seems like such a basic thing to be missing 😬
A work around is that you can rotate the icons (say 45 degrees) to get them
to be diagonal.
