Ferdi: Notifications not appearing on Mac

Describe the bug
Cannot receive any banner with notification on Mac

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Keep Ferdi running
2. Receive an email
3. Cannot see any banner appearing or Notification Center
4. Counter of unread messages is working JUST for gmail (no teams or outlook)
5. Banner is not working for ANY service

Expected behavior
A banner with email notification appearing

Desktop (please complete the following information):

• OS: Mac OSX Catalina 10.15.5
• Browser Safari
• Version 13.1.1

Can you please make sure you have given Ferdi the rights to send notifications by going into your Mac's System Preferences > "Notifications" > "Ferdi" > "Allow Notifications from Ferdi"?

Many thanks for your reply. Yes, Absolutely. I can confirm this. Notifications in mac for Ferdi are allowed.
It would be interesting if other users have the same problem with the same version of Catalina and Ferdi.

I am running Ferdi on the same setup (I am not sure why do you provide Safari version though) and I get the notifications just fine.

Sorry mate, no reasons for reporting Safari version! I was able to have notification red counter on dock icon but no notifications badges, so I need to check the icon every time (apart from gmail). Could you share your settings with me?

I guess Teams may be a problem. If you run the Teams "native" Microsoft app on Linux it does not get any notifications either, it shows notifications only sometimes and rather seldom... So Ferdi will not work as long as Microsoft will not fix this. The app is in the preview mode, so I think they are working on it.

I don't know the situation with Outlook, but it is from the same house, so I guess there is the same problem.

You can check if you get notifications for other services and I am pretty sure that they will be working fine so it is not Ferdi's issue.

Okay, I can understand about teams and Outlook, but what about GitHub, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Skype? For any of them I don't receive notifications on desktop. Are these services also lacking of notification support?

I'm running into this issue, too.

On my laptop, I get sounds and notifications.
On my desktop, I get neither.

Both instances of Ferdi are setup the same.

For what it's worth, I was experiencing this same issue on my machine. A full restart of Ferdi fixed it for me.

Same here, no notifications whatsoever, on any services...

• Ferdi Version: 5.5.0.2116
• Server: seems to be Ferdi to my understanding

I'm also continuing the experience this issue. It appears that after a restart of Ferdi, notifications work for a short period, and then start to fail. I wonder if it's related to macOS sleeping.
