The RAPIDS project is using FAISS, and it would be great if you all would provide a CUDA 10 conda build. This would make our container build significantly more streamlined for CUDA 10. Happy to help if needed.
We'll have to do some testing, since CUDA upgrades usually break things.
Installing from source seems to be fine, so hopefully it isn't too painful. Let us know if you need help.
@mdouze any update on this? RAPIDS was hoping to cut a v0.5 release next week, and this would really help our build process

Hi there, what is the status of the conda py37 + cuda10 build?
I am confused because I can see the relevant file at:
https://anaconda.org/pytorch/faiss-gpu/files
but trying to install it with conda install faiss-gpu... fails.
Installing the file with conda directly seems to work (there is a strange delay when running the GPU tutorial the first time but it could be normal)
@stepelu It should work – would you mind opening a separate issue?
