When I go to the taskbar settings in Windows 10, to set which icons show in the "taskbar" (system tray), you know, the off/on section, Riot is listed twice as toggle-able options.
Not sure why this is happening, but it's silly and hard to tell which one is relevant, lol.
Have you updated riot recently? Windows caches them per executable, an update is a new executable due to the update mechanism we use
@t3chguy uhhh I listed the riot version, which is the latest at 1.2.2, so... yes... ;)
So that'll be to blame, it might go away after a reboot
So I rebooted and it's still there :(
ftr I can reproduce this. I had windows updates and several restarts between updating and taking this screenshot.

Mine doesn't show the "[23]" or "[24]" thing. Looks like this is a bug around the updating process? (which by the way, always puts the icon back on the desktop after you delete it, ugh!
(and yes, the 24 notif icon is totally screwed up like that - it's not an artifact of the screenshot tool)

I think it's the number of unread notifications. I use the desktop client for an alt account I never check, and the title currently says Riot [23].
