Element-web: login button is hard to find now

Ever since it moved to the composer, people have been unable to find the button. This is probably because the landing page doesn't have a composer

Just to add to this, after the Desktop app redirects you to your browser to register, there is no login button so you have to restart the app.

Wow, this is pretty awful!

I've just had someone tell me: "I can't see our Riot room anymore".

After a lot of back and forth, we finally figured out he'd been logged out and is browsing https://riot.im/app anonymously now.

The login button (hidden way in Settings -> weird "Pick a username modal" -> log in) is hard to find.

unsure why this hasn't been prioritised given it makes it almost impossible to log into the app.

Presumably the quickest solution for now is to put a big login and register button in home.html?

I've had a look at https://github.com/matrix-org/matrix-react-sdk/pull/2268 and I think without a bit more design work it runs the risk of blending in with the flow of the welcome page too much :\

We're working on redesigning the login stuff as we speak, but for now I think we should just undo removing the login/register buttons from the top left.

If the buttons appear in both the top left _and_ in the composer space (when there's a composer on the page) I think that's no bad thing.

@turt2live (or @jryans) what's the quickest way to make this happen? I think we should get it fixed before we do the next release (and ideally we'd cut an RC today). @turt2live is this an easy thing for you to do?

Yes, fair enough. I was a bit worried about the design as well.

This sounds reasonable to me. I assume @turt2live knows best how to proceed here, whether by reverting matrix-org/matrix-react-sdk#2219 or only some pieces of it. I am happy to help as well.
