This may or may not be related to this issue, but here goes.

Given my current roles, if I assign myself a role would I delete all the others or would I append to them?

For example, I would like to add "Python" to the list, but I do not want to lose all the others.

I think it should keep appending, there is no way to remove roles at the moment via the bot

You're right. I just tested it. Is there a way to rearrange them? (wishful thinking, I know) :)
