ideas:
Pressing [+] button replases chat list with contacts. Then contact or [+] pressed - list replaced back to chats.
Search button searches in contacts too.

I am not entirely sure if I should open a separate issue, but I am missing for a global quick search in form of ctrl + k which would give me list of contacts and MUCs and allow typing parts of their names to quickly jump into them. Slack, Discord and some Matrix clients have this fuctionality and I think it's so close to this issue that it could well be a duplicate.

Global search good, but need to know that to type.
Not able for visual search for words like "H4ck0R". Not able to search by avatar.
