My wifi is not working anymore.

@tatoosh
Did you try the solution of @TheOldPresbyope to manually create wpasupplicants execution folder and reconfigure wifi via dietpi-config?
mkdir /var/run/wpa_supplicant

Hmm ... by my tests here I can not see or have any WiFi problems.
Have you:
Hi @k-plan.
Hi @tatoosh,
- a # in my wpa2 key
Possibly not the best idea. Can you please change this first and test again?
- auto reconnect is enabled
For testing I would suggest to set this on Disable
- using rpi zero (without w) with this USB WLAN
Can you please post:
lsusb
dmesg | grep usbcore
and when
dmesg | grep xxx -> xxx = name of registered new interface driver
- a # in my wpa2 key
Possibly not the best idea. Can you please change this first and test again?
I don't know why, but with my configuration (i changed some system settings) it is working with the # in my WPA2-Key

the wlan USB dongle is in a wodden case ... i can only post this later ;)
But also with an other WLAN USB i had problmes by installing with preconfigured dietpi.txt on my pi zero starting with the newest image: DietPi_v150_RPi-armv6-(Jessie).img I solved it by an USB LAN Adapter
@tatoosh
Is it solved without " # " in wifi-password?
hi @k-plan : yes, it is working nice. If you want i can reproduce the error in a few days.
By the way - what is the problmen with the # in a WPA Password?
iwconfig wlan0

Why is Encryption key:off ?
@MichaIng
Thx. Yes the folder exists.
@k-plan
maybe the issue #1250 will solve it in v159.
I will reproduce it on a fresh install after releasing the new version - any date for this?

If you edit dietpi.txt on a differnt device, please use a unix compatible editor like NotePad++, Notepad2, PS Pad, Nano, vim, Smultron ... but NOT Windows Editor (notepad.exe)!
Think same is happend here: https://github.com/Fourdee/DietPi/issues/1238#issuecomment-345980758
Will close Issue. Please reopen if needed.

I used Notepadd++ as UTF-8 without BOM. But i will take a stranger look here next time. Good advice!
