Desktop: DNS over HTTPS in desktop version?

Only shows how to use DNS over HTTPS on the web app. Anyway to do this on the desktop version?

This might be a feature that needs to be fixed upstream inside of Electron if it hasn't already. I've assigned someone from the team who might have a better answer to this question.

Hi there! 👋 If you would like to set up DNS-over-HTTPS on the desktop version, one option is to set it up for your entire operating system. Cloudflare has instructions on how to do that, and you can find them here. The instructions explain how to manually configure your network settings on Linux, Windows, and macOS. 🙂

That seems like only instructions to set up DNS? DNS over HTTPS appears to be something separate

I thought there would be a way since Standard Notes seems to share some components with Chrome (for example when you go to Toggle Error Console)

I'll check with the developers to see if they're able to enable DNS-over-HTTPS in the desktop app. 👍 I believe, for an desktop apps built with Electron such as Standard Notes, the DNS-over-HTTPS is configured by the developers and not the users 🙂

Unfortunately Electron hasn't (yet) implemented a way for us to enable DNS-over-HTTPS 😕
