It would be nice to be able to open a whole folder and display the subfolders in a treeview. Many editors and IDE's do this out of the box, Atom, Visual Studio Code, and others. It would be really good if this editor could follow that format.
If someone has a project with hundreds of files this functionality is useful. Currently you have to go file by file. It would be nice to be able to open a whole folder without having to "make a project" and without having to install any plugins.
Let me know if I can provide more information, but if you download any of the editors mentioned, you can see this functionality in action.
Thanks,
Giancarlos
I thought about it , this thing. Open a folder from cmdline, eg "cudatext .". ProjManager will be preinstalled for it [it makes it]
ps. good is that more wishes will be for ProjManager.
This is done in GH, will be in 1.9.2
To clarify I meant opening a folder through the Open context menu option under "File" instead of having to "make a project" it would be nice to just open a folder. But I guess for now I'll just use the project plugin. I never used it in other editors because they let you just open a folder.
Thanks
It is File - Open folder menu item
I can put beta for Linux, for you
I would happily test it on Ubuntu, thanks.
This is beta- xz in zip
cudatext-linux-gtk2-amd64-b.zip
Will test it after work in a few hours.
Edit:
Thanks
It works great ( Windows here o/ ). Will it support drag&drop of directories?
As @vhanla said it seems to be working great. The new context menu option is much better too, thank you. Tested under Ubuntu.
ok... context-menu? It is right-click menu, no item OpenFolder there.
I meant to say top menu option, my mistake.
