Create-react-app: Is there any plan for supporting `react.config.js` or `cra.config.js`

As vue-cli withvue.config.js and nextjs with next.config.js, users can custom config (webpack, babel etc.) conveniently. Is there any plan for supporting react.config.js in create-react-app.

If anything, a few config flags in package.json would be nice.

There are already too many little files for editors, linters, etc littering the root folder IMHO.
