Hi guys, just a question: Do you already know when a new version of the cp-docker-images with the latest changes of the Kafka Connectors (for example the S3 Connector) is going to be built and then released?
Regards
What changes are you looking for exactly? The images here are already the current 4.0 release
Hi,
I’m looking for the new property “sse.aws.kms.id” inside the S3 Connector that gives you the possibility to define a particular KMS key Id to encrypt server side the files saved on S3.
The merge on master with this feature was done on the 7th of February but the images were built before it.
Regards
As far as I know, the 4.1 release is a few weeks away. In the mean time, you would have to port that feature into these containers by building the respective master branch of the S3 Connector
Yes exactly, this is what we currently do :)
I just wanted to know when the the next release (4.1 in this case) would have come in order to use then the official image!! Thanks from the info.
Regards
@cricket007 How about 4.0.1? We're interested in picking up this fix: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/KAFKA-6252
I'm not in a position to say @dylanmei
4.0.1 is coming soon, off the heels of Kafka 1.0.1. 4.1.0 is likely a bit farther off as it has a bunch of newer stuff that gets further testing, whereas 4.0.1 is a straightforward bugfix release. Dates are approximate, but I'd expect 4.0.1 maybe in a week or so and 4.1.0 in 2-4 weeks, depending on any issues found during final release testing.
Any progress on the 4.0.1 release?
Can we of the community help in any way?
Having the fix to KAFKA-6252 would be really nice and I'd like to keep using official Confluent images for our architecture.
@zevektor Same issue for us.
We're really hanging out for 4.0.1
Hey, adding to the fire, we are also waiting on for 4.0.1
Same here, i think the 4.0.1 will be 4.1.0
