All entities in tradfri integration are unavailable after upgrade to 0.115.
Home assistant logs shows that it is waiting on the integration to complete setup.
Gateway version: 1.11.47
configuration.yaml
Logs are flooded with DTLS error code 115 and the occational information about waiting on tradfri integration to complete setup.
ERROR (MainThread) [coap] Fatal DTLS error: code 115
2020-09-17 23:54:45 WARNING (MainThread) [homeassistant.bootstrap] Waiting on integrations to complete setup: tradfri
I have tried rebooting HA and IKEA gateway
Hey there @ggravlingen, mind taking a look at this issue as its been labeled with an integration (tradfri) you are listed as a codeowner for? Thanks!
(message by CodeOwnersMention)
Trardfri devices added through ZHA are also non-responsive. They show up successfully, but they neither respond to service calls (bulbs) nor transmit service calls (remotes / switches)
I have some tradfri devices (bulbs and motion sensor) added through deconz, and they still work after updating to 0.115.
@kineticscreen @efauske This issue report is about the tradfri integration. If you have issues with any other integration, please file a separate issue so we can keep things on topic in here.
For me the tradfri integration works well after upgrading to 0.115.0 from 0.114.4
I'm just using the Tradfri Integration with the Gateway (no ZHA or deconz)

My versions are identical to yours.
The issue must be with the integration with the gateway, since none of the entities connected to the gateway are available in HA (bulbs, motion sensors, control outlets)
I suddenly remembered back some weeks where I had the same issue. Removing and adding the IKEA Tradfri integration resolved the issue for me then.
I just tried the same, and now it works again.
@efauske Did you already try to remove and re-add the complete tradfri integration? According to the documentation at: https://www.home-assistant.io/integrations/tradfri/ the error you receive "Fatal DTLS error: code 115" indicates that ?
the same problem exists for me too. I switched to 0.115.2. intact tradfri but if the system restarts all devices are off line.

@efauske I have the same issue and I have removed the Tradfri integration.
Now I cannot add the integration from the Integrations UI. I get a spinning circle after inputting the IP address and security code.
Native IOS Ikea app works fine with the Ikea gateway.
@moravszky Same happened for me, but I restared both the gateway and HA and then I was able to add the integration again.
also in 0.115.3 tradfri disconnect from ha
also in 0.115.3 tradfri disconnect from ha
I confirm. Works after rebooting (both HA and Tradfri gateway), but then stops working the next evening or morning.
HA 0.1115.3, Ikea gateway: 1.11.47
I am happy to share the logs, if someone points me to their location.
also in 0.115.3 tradfri disconnect from ha
Same here. Works after rebooting (both HA and Tradfri gateway), but then stops working the next evening or morning.
HA 0.1115.3, Ikea gateway: 1.11.47
I am happy to share the logs, if someone points me to their location.
I have the same issue. My HA is 0.115.6 and Ikea Gateway is 1.11.47. I removed the integration, but cannot add id again. It just says "Please wait until the integration is installed" (or rather "V盲nligen v盲nta medan integrationen installeras") andhas done so for the last few hours. There is not a single entry in the log when this happens.
I downgraded to 0.114.4 and tried integrating it again, it simply says "Unknown error" when entering the security code. But at least I get the dialog box to enter the security code. And I also get log entries for 0.114.4
Edit: In 0.114.4 the Gateway is discovered, in 0.115.6 it is not so one have to use the "plus" icon and search for Ikea Tradfri", but as I wrote above nothing happens.
I also have problems after going to 115 some weeks ago. It looses connection to the Tradfri gateway. Usually I can get it to reconnect by restarting first the gatways and then HA, but sometimes it takes several retries.
A thougt, I recently started to get this notice in Hass:
_Support for the running Python version 3.7.4 is deprecated and will be removed in the first release after December 7, 2020. Please upgrade Python to 3.8.0 or higher._
Can this be the case, that things are depending on a newer Python version? I can see on the Python homepage that 3.9 is available.
Some very funky things happening to me too, which seems related. Only joined HA on 116.1, but it seems that the Tradfri integration also blocks the app from finding the Gateway at initial setup.
So if you set up HA after the Gateway is connected to the IKEA app, it鈥檚 fine (though then appears to mess with HomeKit once the Tradfri config changes).
Only managed to get things working again (by chance) by wiping HA back to a snapshot with the Tradfri Gateway / devices ALREADY setup, and then the IKEA app and Gateway start seeing each other again.
I now have this same issue trying to add the Integration back. It sees it, but then spins and spins and gives a Warning:
Logger: homeassistant.bootstrap
Source: bootstrap.py:397
First occurred: 14 October 2020, 22:47:54 (831 occurrences)
Last logged: 12:37:57
Waiting on integrations to complete setup: tradfri
Indicates to me that there鈥檚 something about the integration which is nobbling the initial app / Gateway communication, and then unable to pick it up again.
I got it working a few days ago, and this is my conclusion.
I run Home Assistant Core in a Python venv. Conditions when all was working fine:
Ikea GW: 1.13.1
Python: 3.7
HA 0.114.4
Ikea GW got an automatic firmware update to 1.14.0, and that's when thinks started to behave very strange. So I thought I would update HA to 0.116.0 to see if it worked any better. Worked even worse than on 0.114.4. So I removed the Ikea GW integration, and was not able to add it back.
HA prompted me with a notice, that from 7th of December 2020, support for Python 3.7 will be dropped, and was advised to upgrade to 3.8 or newer. Which I did. To 3.9, which is newer than 3.8... And that worked as bad as before, but with other error messages in the log. That gave me a clue.
So I did a downgrade to Python 3.8, gave it a go - and it worked, and has been stable.
My conclusion is that there are these three items on the map, that somewhat did not play well together, and it's difficult to see exactly what combination of versions that actually plays..
Does anything about this make any sense? :)
