@phil-davis @davitol Still valid?

@individual-it gave me some more information. Back in December 2019 he had a 10.3.2 system and updated it to 10.4.0 and had trouble using the admin sharing settings checkboxes to enable/disable the new user/group sharing expiration date options.

When there is 10.4.0RC2 we should double-check:

  • have a "real" 10.3.2 system that has never had the new user/group sharing expiration date options
  • upgrade to 10.4.0
  • check that the new options are off in the upgraded system
  • select some options, make sure they can be selected

@davitol @HanaGemela This still needs to be tested in current RC

* check that the new options are off in the upgraded system

Set default expiration date for user shares

Set default expiration date for group shares

Those options are off after upgrading from 10.3.2. to 10.4.0.RC3 so everything LGTM in my tests

We will get someone else to try this again upgrading from 10.3.2 to 10.4.0
If the problem cannot be reproduced then we can close.

I upgraded from 10.3.2 to 10.4.1 and did not find any problem with the new share expiration date check boxes.

Can't reproduce any more - closing.
