Created on 6 Jun 2018  路  6Comments  路  Source: home-assistant/core

Home Assistant release with the issue: 0.71.0

Operating environment (Hass.io/Docker/Windows/etc.): Hass.io
Component/platform: Yeelight/Xiaomi

Description of problem:

After upgrade to latest firmware Xiaomi Bedside Lamp (1.5.5_0166) device doesn't respond to commands

Additional information:

I have to reset device and add it to Yeelight application. After that I can turn on/off the lamp, change colour etc. But if I change colour of light manually or by Yeelight app there is no change in homeassistant.
Of course i lost BLE gateway functionality for my Xiaomi Hygrothermo sensor

because i cannot add Bedside lamp to Mihome app and using it in HA as before

Finally i found solution of my problem. After update to version >1.5.5_0166 yeelight developers turned off LAN control by default. In mihome app you cannot turn it on.
To resolve problem user should install both apps - mihome and yeelight. Then user must login on both apps on the same server eg. Mainland China. After that we can add Bedside Lamp in mihome app. Then in yeelight app Lamp appears and we can turn on LAN control.

Maybe syssi can update documentation with this description?
If there's nothing else then I close issue.

Why do you think this is a bug in Home Assistant?

I really don't know. Maybe communication protocol has changed and should be updated?

Please contact the yeelight staff at the yeelight forum and close this issue if the problem could be solved by a firmware update.
