One request is fine but given the number of transitive dependencies in JS projects, one request _per_ transitive require is exceedingly noisy (adds about 200 lines of output). I respect your right to add a call to action to the library you generously offer for free, but if other authors also choose to do this we can expect thousands of lines of output on every install.

And that seems reasonable. Since you're keeping it in to thumb your nose at complainers, I would suggest going even bigger! Why not use https://www.npmjs.com/package/cowsay or make the output a rainbow of colors? Go big or go home, I say! 😄
