Conan-center-index: Adding recipes to conan-index that are already part of a third party remote

Created on 12 Dec 2019  路  3Comments  路  Source: conan-io/conan-center-index

Hi,
As the tittle says, I would like to know if conan-index accepts PRs to add recipes that are already part of a third party remote. As an example, I'm working with libusb which is not present in conan-index but is present in the Bincrafters remote.
I know that Conan is decentralized but I think it would be nice to have most of the recipes here so they're easier to find and maintain.
Thanks.

Hi @ericriff,
There's no problem at all in adding a library that's already in a third-party remote as long there is no PR for that library already open at the conan-index and the recipe license permits it (there will be no problems for bincrafters recipes).

I'll transfer this issue to the conan center index issue tracker as it may be of interest to other people that have the same question.

@ericriff you should sync with @uilianries : https://github.com/conan-io/conan-center-index/pull/430
