Community-committee: Node AMAs - Get Involved

Created on 15 Jul 2019  ·  14Comments  ·  Source: nodejs/community-committee

Hi all! I presented this last week at CommComm and wanted to do a call for anyone else who wanted to get involved.

This AMA format is a great opportunity to start opening up Node's doors to the greater community and engaging directly through AMA conversations. This idea was born from the Collab Summit and conversations around it.

We will start doing monthly Node AMA sessions supported by the Foundation on marketing (twitter, newsletters, emails) and operations (setup, coordination, etc).

The goal now is to decide each monthly session and do planning around this.

I have already involved a few CommComm folks in this conversation, but please let me know if you're interested.

@evahowe, @rromoff, and myself will be the main point of contacts if you have any questions related to this! I can be reached at [email protected] anytime, or just comment here.

@ladyleet have they been a discussion on this lately?

most definitely! We are booked solid until next September. Did you have a
particular topic in mind?

@evahowe where is the list documented? Would be good to know what is covered and what might need more volunteers.

Thanks looks like a good list.

You’re welcome 😊

Sorry, silly question, and likely I knew the answer previously, AMA?

Not quite sure what you are asking, can you rephrase? Thanks!

@evahowe Sorry, I was trying to infer/recall what AMA stands for 😊

@SMotaal Ask Me Anything. Started originally as an in-person session at Collab Summit Berlin 2019, and is now a regular web event :-)

Did more of these ever happen? I can't recall more getting posted.

I heard there was one with @keywordnew last month?
