Or in your local time:
Note: we also have something we need to discuss during the private session.
Extracted from cc-agenda labelled issues and pull requests from the nodejs org prior to the meeting.
The agenda comes from issues labelled with cc-agenda across all of the repositories in the nodejs org. Please label any additional issues that should be on the agenda before the meeting starts.
UberConference. If you do not already have the link, please contact @nebrius.
A standing invitation exists for all @nodejs/TSC members who are not also CommComm members to attend in observer capacity.
We stream our conference call straight to YouTube so anyone can listen to it live, it should start playing at http://www.youtube.com/c/nodejs-foundation/live when we turn it on. There's usually a short cat-herding time at the start of the meeting and then occasionally we have some quick private business to attend to before we can start recording & streaming. So be patient and it should show up.
@bnb Will you be able to take notes for this meeting? I just discovered I have been double booked :/
I'm probably going to miss most of this meeting if not all. I'll be picking up my Mom from the hospital after a visit with my Dad around that time. I'm also on vacation the next week so I'll see you all at the meeting the following week.
@renrutnnej Yes, I can take notes for the meeting 👍
how are we going to accommodate this many observers? hangouts has a maximum capacity
Can we suggest that observers watch over YouTube?
Can we suggest that observers watch over YouTube?
🤔 I suspect we'll only have roughly half of the CommComm members join the call, but that still gets us close to the limit.
Do we need the observers present to discuss the website work described in https://github.com/nodejs/community-committee/issues/95?
I can skip this meeting if it is helpful. 🤔
I don't think that would be helpful, @joesepi. :) Let's all just jump on the Hangout; if it maxes out, we can request that observers or non-participants jump onto the YouTube stream, and we can monitor the comments closer than normal.
moving to meet.google.com would increase max participants fwiw... but I don't think it supports on air
My Zoom account will accommodate 100 folks, but I dont know if that is a solution we want to use.

That's unfortunate about not supporting on air. Do you know/are able to comment on if meet will support on air sometime soon?

Let's consider it for the next meeting. I'm a little wary of switching to it for this meeting though since we don't have much time before it starts.
I like @RichardLitt's suggestion. Let's all hop on the hangout, and we can figure out if observers need to switch to the live stream based on how many folks show up.
I'd like to point out that youtube streaming as per https://github.com/nodejs/TSC/tree/master/Streaming requires upfront setup but nothing in particular per meeting other than someone running it.
Also, I'm not entirely certain if #95 invited me as a Website-y person, but if it did I can certainly do the streaming honors.
(Or even if I'm not really attending the meeting, I can easily stream from a second PC.)
@Fishrock123 yeah, you're more than welcome to join! Maybe it would be a good idea to switch to uberconference and stream that way, since you're already set up to do that. Also, thank you!
@nodejs/community-committee and observers, if you do not already have the uberconference link, please email me at bryan at nebri dot us or DM me on Twitter at nebrius (my DMs are open) and I'll send it to you privately.
That also goes for @nodejs/website members who are interested in attending!
Ah, thanks for taking this up @Fishrock123. I think I'm currently the only other person who does this on a regular basis, and the last time I did it at home there were some mic issues. I'll have an update for y'all in-session about this streaming stuff moving forward. cc @nebrius
Livestream will be at http://www.youtube.com/c/nodejs-foundation/live
