Terminal switch Rosetta

Maybe arch -x86_64.

I could install with this so https://stackoverflow.com/a/65404796

$ sudo arch -x86_64 gem install ffi
$ arch -x86_64 pod install

I found the solution !!! (I'm so happy) :

Replace sudo gem install by sudo gem install ffi when installing pods.

@Eliott111 Could you clarify on that? I'm assuming this error was due to M1 architecture, but your solution doesn't make sense out of context. What are you replacing, and where? Running sudo gem install ffi on it's own didn't resolve the issue for me.

Terminal switch Rosetta
then sudo gem install ffi

@alongmatch Hi, I am new to Mac, so I am not quite understanding what you mean Terminal switch Rosetta. Could you explain it more please?

Now that I understand the issue and resolved it, the best way is to go to the terminal application in Finder, right click, go to Get Info, and select the checkbox that says "Run with Rosetta". That way you don't need to prefix all your commands with arch -x86_64. Of course this is all assuming you're not doing any ARM specific workloads regularly.

I could install
Thank you
