• Tried to install modules in native iOS app, after cloning this repo.

• I think this error line is caused by the wrong version of the ffi version, but reinstalling the gem module doesn't help me.

• I have a standard project structure for a simple React Native app.

issue has fixed by downgrade macos to catalina 10.15.7 and installing cocoapods with homebrew

@mb-mb maybe installing cocoapods with homebrew will help you on Big Sur. try this out

Reinstalling cocoapods using brew does not help me to solve this on Big Sur

It is caused by mismatching of ruby system framework version (2.6) and user version (3.0), I had the same problem after upgrading to big sur. to fix it:

1. use rvm (manager for ruby) '$ rvm install ruby-2.6.0'
2. after installation, check if the default ruby now is 2.6.0 : '$ ruby -v'
3. install cocoa pods again, '$ sudo gem install cocoapods'
4. check your cocoa pods version '$ pod --version',
5. now u can run '$ pod install' under your project where the Podfile is located.

for what's worth, I think to roll back ruby version is better than roll back macOS, ya?
