Looks like the specification file might have gotten corrupted. We have upgraded out CDN to a new provider today, so it might be related to that?

Try removing the main spec repo cache from your machine by running 

rm -rf ~/.cocoapods/repos/trunk

Looks like the specification file might have gotten corrupted. We have upgraded out CDN to a new provider today, so it might be related to that?

Try removing the main spec repo cache from your machine by running 

rm -rf ~/.cocoapods/repos/trunk

For a whole week???

Then this dates back to the original CDN outage we have experienced - makes me think that we might wanna delete local spec caches in case of JSON parse errors @dnkoutso. Bit of a "retry culture" thing but might help users.
