Soon-ish 馃槃 , once we open the main branch to v1alpha4/v0.4.x and update controller runtime, we should we good to make the change in test-infra

go1.15.1 is scheduled for 9/1.
I'd say wait until kubernetes/kubernetes updates before picking it up.

@bboreham Will open something once controller runtime upstream is more stable / has a release tag (v0.7.x)

Is it written somewhere why cluster-api has not updated to controller-runtime 0.6?
