Client: Microsoft Github Takeover Plan

Does Keybase have any plan to migrate to another platform for development now that Microsoft is in the process of coopting Github?

Because Microsoft is a threat to all free software projects, especially now that the hold our common ground. Because many of us are going to leave github and never provide another commit again(over 1500 of us, so far), and though perhaps the intersection between 'us' and those who commit to this repo may or may not be the null set, it is a pretty big red flag for free software projects to be hosted on a PRISM partner's website.

Microsoft is not "getting" anything toward 'opensource' except "getting rid" of it by locking free/open source developers worldwide out of the ability to collaborate with eachother without their permission.

Which version of Microsoft are we talking about here?

IMHO, Microsoft'75 != Microsoft'85 != Microsoft'98 != Microsoft'08 != Microsoft'14 != Microsoft'18

Microsoft has not changed. As of 2018 they were still engaged in PRISM/mass surveillance of their users(and non-users), using patents to extort from and control/limit the use of free software, locking bootloaders to prevent free software operating systems from booting on hardware they control, facilitating genocide in the middle east and elsewhere, forcing DRM on their users, censoring private conversation[2], as of at least 2010 still pushing for a requirement for a license to use the world wide web[3]. Microsoft is a serious adversary.

At the end of the day, it's up to Keybase devs but I'm in favor of keeping the repo in Github as it is if Github continues to be the Github we all used and loved even after Microsoft's acquisition or if Keybase has no "no use of adversary products" policy. The r/linux-esque arguments shouldn't be the only reasons for moving to GitLab or any other.
If they want to put a mirror in Gitlab to calm those that hate Microsoft but keep GitHub as the main place for assistance/bug reporting, that I'd be okay with too.

PRISM

I love how everyone who said MS was doing stuff like this was seen as a crazy tinfoil hatter...

Then Snowden...

Then nothing changed... then time passed... so now everyone thinks the PRISM program is just an acceptable thing we live with now... or maybe they think "oh congress stopped PRISM so it's all done that's in the past now."
