Description

Question: Is it possible to get the webpartData for use in 'apppage add' and 'apppage set' commands? I know I can get the data manually but is their a command for dynamically get it?

can run without specifying webPartData or have option to get webpartData at runtime.

Just to better understand what you're trying to achieve @gbminnock: typically, when provisioning app pages, you create them upfront with the web part data that you know. What would be the scenario that would require you to retrieve web part info dynamically?

@waldekmastykarz I suppose the web parts have already been deployed. Saves some time maybe not to have to pull out the data and push it into this. Just convenience I guess.

After looking a bit more into this: webPartData is information about a web part placed on a page and contains some additional information that isn't a part of the web part manifest, like its width, height, etc. Would you like to retrieve this block for a web part that is placed on a page or would you rather have us generate it for any of the web parts available in your tenant? If the latter, we likely wouldn't be able to predict the web part width or height which you need to specify as a part of the webPartData block so that's something that you'd need to add yourself.
